Seminar #2: From Good to Guru... The Coaching and Mentoring Series  - PDU# C023-082043

Mentorship is a powerful program to accelerate learning and success…IF the mentor and mentee stick to their roles and avoid road blocks! As mentoring and coaching become more prevalent in workplaces, strong coaching skills are imperative. If your organization is not mentorship-driven, you’ll need to look elsewhere for your “fix”.

Whether you are looking for a mentor or you are the one coaching others, this highly interactive session with Coach Rhonda Victoor will incite you to:

  1. choose the right mentoring goals to avoid becoming gloriously average at everything
  2. shift from an improve-weakness focus to a leverage-strengths focus
  3. banish the barrier of “no time” to mentor with power-prioritization techniques
  4. structure mentorship meetings for greatest connection and results
  5. learn the signs to avoid getting stuck in your progress
  6. observe coaching in action to broaden your experience of techniques
  7. practise, hands-on in class, coaching a colleague through a challenge
  8. develop the most effective probing questions to use when coaching someone
  9. assess and hone your listening skills: useful as a mentor or mentee
  10. coach someone beyond ‘I don’t know’…the get un-stuck technique
  11. measure the effectiveness of coaching and mentoring
  12. determine what’s next? Life after a coaching/mentoring relationship ends

Prepare to launch your career (and the careers of those you mentor) from good…to guru as you apply a winning coach-approach!
